Muslim Hands Sri Lanka has signed MOU for the partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, irrigation, livestock and Land Management Department of Govt. of Sri Lanka.
The purpose of this MoU is to establish a formal agreement that articulates the mutual understanding and framework for future collaborative efforts between the signatory parties.
This collaboration is specifically directed toward the implementation of the project titled “Climate Resilient Innovative WASH Interventions in Puttalam District, Sri Lanka. Through rainwater harvesting Structures and groundwater recharge systems” By entering into this MoU, both parties affirm their commitment to joint action and cooperation in achieving the objectives and intended outcomes of the proposed initiative.
This is a public-private partnership Project where along with the Muslim Hands Financial Contributions Govt. department will provide all technical services to Muslim Hands for this project free of cost for the execution of this public-private partnership project.
This is our First partnership with Govt. of Sri Lanka and we are hoping this will create a good example and set the ground for future partnerships and collaboration.
Muslim Hands Country Director and Secretary signed the MOU in the presence of key officials of the department and MHSL Trustee and the MHSL Team.
This MOU serves as a commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration and partnership under Sustainable Development Goal – 17 (Partnership for the Goals) to contribute mutual efforts for achieving SDG 6- Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 13 Climate Actions.
