Colombo YMBA Launches Historic Second Independence Struggle for True Economic Freedom

COLOMBO : In a groundbreaking event, the Colombo Young Men’s Buddhist Association (YMBA) marked the inauguration of the second independence struggle, transforming February 4th into a historic day on Sri Lanka’s Independence calendar. 

The occasion witnessed the active participation of religious leaders from diverse faiths, symbolizing unity and shared aspirations.

Ms. Ajra Azhar, a prominent lawyer representing the Muslim community, delivered a compelling address on strategies to achieve true economic freedom. Social activist M. Selvin Irenaeus, representing the Tamil community, shared insightful perspectives during this momentous event.
