opening of Institute of Urology and Nephrology at the National Hospital in Colombo.

 

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on Thursday (29) declared open the new building of the Institute of Urology and Nephrology at the National Hospital in Colombo.

With the noble objective of bringing the benefits of the free health service closer to the entire people, EAM Maliban Textile (Pvt) Ltd. has constructed the three-storey building.

The EAM Maliban Textile Private Ltd has built this three-story building with its full wealth donation. The amount spent to build this science, which consists of 13 beds of intensive care unit, is about Rs 300 million.

Mr. Illias Abdul Karim, President of EAM Maliban Textile Private Company, born in Galle, is a renowned alumni of St. Alavicia’s College, Galle and a renowned social worker
 
Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Secretary to Ministry of Health, Secretary to Ministry of Environment Specialist Dr. Anil Jasinghe, President of EAM Maliban Textile Private Company, Illias Abdul Karim and a group of officers of the company attended the event.
 
Great Initiative by Alhaj EAM Ilyas Abdul Kareem

Alhaj EAM Ilyas Abdul Kareem is someone who I view as an exemplary leader in this regard. The owner of Maliban Textiles Limited, he is also someone who makes it his priority to give back to the community. A most timely initiative, and his most recent, the need and upgrading of healthcare was addressed.
