The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation was established with the mission of training professionals who are aware of our rich cultural history, concerned about the needs of the ummah, and self-confident.

The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation builds bridges of hearts between nations by giving students from 112 countries the chance to study in Turkey through initiatives like the International Anatolian Imam Hatip High School and the International Theology Undergraduate and Graduate Programs. It also awards scholarships to deserving students, opens higher education student dormitories, student guest houses, colleges, and universities.

Through possibilities for more than 48 years of expertise and in-depth knowledge, our Foundation fills the educational gap.

THE PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The TDV International Theology Undergraduate Scholarship Program’s objectives are to: a) Support Muslim communities overseas in their need for religious instruction.

  1. b) Provide education for students with a clear understanding of the Islamic religion and Islamic civilisation, as well as enlighten their nation and its surroundings.
  2. c) To create cultural links between Turkish society and associated societies.
  3. d) To exchange knowledge on Islamic education.

TÜRKIYE DIYANET SCHOLARSHIP SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS 

For Undergraduate Program 

In addition to covering their sustenance, lodging, and travel costs, our organisation awards monthly scholarships to all scholarship recipients who are accepted into the programme.

  • Health
  • Tuition Fees
  • Accommodation;
  • The board decides the monthly allowance at the start of each year;
  • Transportation Expenses
  • Summer and Winter Camps
  • Extra-Curricular Activities 
  • Round-trip airline tickets at the start and finish of the programm

For Masters and PHD  

  • Support for the scholarships will be given for a year.
  • If a student’s request to live in one of our residence halls is approved, accommodation support may be given.
  • In this instance, their scholarship support is reduced by 30%.
  • TDV will pay for any healthcare or health insurance costs.
  • TDV will pay for both the residence charge and the tuition.
  • TDV will pay for international students’ transportation costs both when they first arrive and when they return home after completing their programme.

Application and specifications

ELIGIBLE CRITERIA  UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.

The following requirements must be met by applicants for the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation International Undergraduate Scholarship Program.

Applications won’t be accepted if they don’t meet these requirements.

  1. Not be an individual born in the Republic of Turkey.
  2. The petitions of Republic of Turkey nationals and people who have lost their Turkish citizenship for whatever reason shall be rejected.
  3. Not to have been born before January 1, 2002.
  4. To not have any physical or mental health issues that might prevent you from studying in Turkey.
  5. To be able to graduate in July of the relevant year from an educational institution that is similar to the high school level in our nation with at least a passing grade (70%)
  6. Not to have been disciplined or convicted while pursuing their education in their nation.
  7. Continuing to pursue education after high school for no more than two years.
  8. As a recipient of our Foundation’s scholarship, not having their scholarship cancelled while enrolled in any type of educational programme.
  9. Applicants shouldn’t be enrolled in a programme in Turkey at the level for which they are applying.

ELIGIBLE CRITERIA  UNDERGRADUATE MASTERS & PHD PROGRAM.

  • being a non-citizen of the Republic of Turkey (graduates of the International Theology License Program are not subject to this requirement). These students must submit applications together with their international ID.)
  • not have turned 30 since the start of the calendar year in which the application is made (01.01.1993)
  • not have taken a break from school for a period of more than two years between receiving a bachelor’s degree and being accepted into a postgraduate programme,
  • A bachelor’s degree thesis is required (if the university the student graduated from offered a thesis program)
  • must be eligible to graduate by July 2023 or to have completed a programme of equal value in divinity, Islamic studies, or a related field,
  • not having any physical or mental conditions that might prevent you from studying in Turkey,
  • not to have had any prior convictions or disciplinary actions throughout any term of education,
  • Students who earned their degrees abroad are required to have an internationally recognised language certificate, such as the TOEFL, IELTS, CPE, CAE, iBT, PTE, TestDaF, DSD II, TELC Deutsch, DELF and DALF for English, the CELI for Italian, the DELE for Spanish, the TORFL for Russian, and the ALPT for Arabic.
  • For foreign students who graduated in Turkey or will be able to graduate by July 2023, a score of at least 50 on the SYM-sponsored YDS/YKDL language tests is required.
  • Preferably, foreign students who graduated in Turkey or will be eligible to graduate by July 2023 must have achieved a score of at least 55 on the SYM-sponsored ALES exam. Preferably, they must also have released an edition that is recognised worldwide.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED 

Documents Required for Diyanet Scholarship Recipients to Register in Turkish Educational Institutions

  1. A certified copy of a valid high school diploma that is in good standing,
  2. A transcript demonstrating that the student has successfully completed high school, as well as, if the student is a senior, the original or a certified copy of the transcript from the previous year,
  3. A student’s certificate of equivalent to a diploma (in Turkish),
  4. A passport in its original form or a replica that has been verified by authorities
  5. Valid visa for education
  6. According to a health evaluation from an official medical facility, the student does not have any conditions that would make it impossible for them to study in Turkey;
  7. Six passport photos (4.5 x6 cm in size),
  8. References and a letter of intent on his or her studies in Turkey, 9. Any certificates of academic, professional, linguistic, or other accomplishments, etc.

EVALUATION OF THE INTERVIEW AND APPLICATION PROCESS

To finish the initial screening process, applications are subjected to document and information checks. After that, candidates are contacted to schedule in-person interviews in their home nations. The following criteria are used to  Visual Aptitude Test
