N.D.H. Abdul Ghaffoor Trust Reopens Arabic Language School in Maharagama

The N.D.H. Abdul Ghaffoor Trust has officially reopened its Arabic Language School on Pamunuwa Road, Maharagama, marking a new chapter in its long-standing mission to promote Arabic education in Sri Lanka.

The reopening follows months of disruption, which the Trust described as resulting from “frivolous and unlawful attempts” to hinder its educational work. Despite these challenges, the Trust reaffirmed its commitment to providing high-quality Arabic language instruction and cultural education.

The reopening ceremony was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including Chief Guest Shaykh Muhammad, along with Shaykh Walead from Dubai and Jumaatun Azmi from Malaysia.

A spokesperson for the Trust expressed appreciation to the community and supporters who stood by the institution during its difficult times.

“Our goal has always been to serve through education,” the spokesperson said. “The reopening of this school is a testament to our resilience and our dedication to preserving and promoting the Arabic language.”

Chief Guest Shaykh Muhammad praised the Trust’s unwavering commitment to education and its role in fostering understanding across cultures and generations.

The N.D.H. Abdul Ghaffoor Arabic Language School has been a revered center for Arabic learning in the Maharagama area for many years. With classes resuming, the Trust hopes to expand its reach and introduce new programs to benefit students across Sri Lanka.
