The Sinbad Project: A Bid to Change The Way Muslims Travel

As a halal travel platform, the Sinbad HostGuide™ network hopes to provide a space for travel tours and guides, tips for Muslims visiting a new country, and information on halal restaurants and hotels.

In an attempt to change the way millennial Muslims travel, a group of young entrepreneurs are hoping to bring together a global phenomenon of open-minded, traveling Muslims who want to be a part of spreading positivity and creativity around the world.

With their mantra of “Be a Proud Muslim, Be the Sinbad”, this up and coming new project has the potential to change the way millennial Muslims travel the world.

Founded by Marwan Alabed (“the Strategy Master”), Abdolatif Basher (“the Tech Guru”), and Munib Azzuz (“the Networking Ninja”), the Sinbad HostGuide™ network aims to provide a platform of travel guides, halal tours, and networking for other Muslim travelers who want to reach out to others.

Inspiring Muslim millennial travelers to be connected and be the next Rahala!

As a halal travel platform, the Sinbad HostGuide™ network hopes to provide a space for travel tours and guides, tips for Muslims visiting a new country, and information on halal restaurants and hotels. The idea of being able to connect with other Muslims, either with those who are also traveling or those who are providing the tours in the host country, gives Sinbad HostGuide™ network a unique role in our growing globalized world.

Being both a host and a travel companion, the founders of Sinbad hope to inspire not only Muslims who already travel, but Muslims who may have always wanted to but didn’t feel confident enough without “halal” support.

In order to achieve this, however, they need our help with fundraising.

Kicking off their campaign on Launchgood, Sinbad still needs our help in reaching its goal to really help kickstart their project into a more developed and expansive project. All the money received will go to three main areas: developing their platform, promoting their platform through marketing, and the hiring of 100 certified host guides in 7 of the top destinations in Europe for Muslim-friendly and halal tour guides.

Sailan Muslim

Our purpose is to secure and promote the legitimate interests of the Sri Lankan Muslims, considering as legitimate only those Muslim interests that are consistent with the national interest. It is apolitical and non profit making effort. The other reason is that Muslim politicians have been marginalized to a serious extent over many decades, and cannot therefore fully represent Muslim interests. An effective Muslim website can be useful in bringing about this change. Our aim is to unite our community to speak with one voice and to promote an understanding and interactive dialogue with other communities. We are dedicated to make this website a success with the objective of promoting truth, justice and harmony among all citizens of Sri Lanka with unbiased, accurate, truthful and balanced information.
