Sailan Muslim Foundation is proud to announce that our Chairman, Faisz Musthapha, PC has  been appointed as Chancellor of the South Eastern University by President Ranil Wickremasinghe

Faisz Musthapha is a President’s Counsel and former Sri Lanka’s high commissioner in the United Kingdom . He also serves as Chairman of Sailan Muslim Foundation.

Faisz Musthapha is the son of S. M. Musthapha, a lawyer from Madawala Kandy. The Musthapha family has been referred to as a family with “four generations of lawyers”. Musthapha’s son, Faiszer Musthapha, is also a President’s Counsel, Parliamentarian and a cabinet Minister, who was also appointed as the Legal Advisor to the President of Sri Lanka. His daughter, Faisza Musthapha,who is also a lawyer, was appointed as the President of the Companies Disputes Board in 2013.

Musthapha also served as the Chairman of the Human Rights Commission and served as the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
