Western – backed Iranian opposition, roared, whimpered and died, By Saybhan Samat

The saga of the June 12th presidential elections in the Islamic Republic of Iran which started as a roar has for all purposes faded into a whimper and is dying off if not dead. The Western powers mounted an unrelenting massive propaganda blitzkrieg using its media mafia to support the opposition led by Mir Hussein Mousavi and denounced the elections as illegitimate. They even in their myopic delusions went so far as to foretell the imminent collapse of the government. They hailed the opposition protestors as the advance guard of a democratic revolution. The hatred, acrimony and malice towards the government led by Seyed Ali Khameini was amply demonstrated by the Western powers when they condemned the incumbent government, refused to recognize the result of the vote and encouraged and praised the demonstrator’s efforts to overthrow the electoral outcome.

Now the Western powers have been silenced, however they are not going to halt spewing their propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Other diabolical methods will be adapted for regime change. The re-elected president Ahamadinejad has over taken Osama bin Laden as the most hated individual in the US and Europe. Over the past several years, many officials in the Western capitals have called for more aggressive actions to be taken against Iran. More recently the Israel premier Benjamin Netanyahu gave US president Barrack Obama an ultimatum that the US president better take care of Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons programme, or else Israel would.

Hence, it is no coincidence then that the protests in Iran received around-the-clock media coverage which for all purpose supported the opposition led by Mir Hussien Mousavi. In fact the war on Iran started from day one of the success of the revolution on 10th February 1979. From demonizing, hostage rescue mission, sanctions, financing and helping the terrorist  Mujahideen E-khalaq (MKO) to overthrow  the government, arming and helping Iraq in the 8year Iran-Iraq war and daily Farsi language broadcast into Iran rousing the people to revolt and effect regime-change are on-going and relentless.

In fact the war on Iran had started regardless who won the elections. The man who wanted to wipe off Israel from the map must be punished. The regime that helped Hamas and Hizbullah should be banished. The culture that calls the US and UK satanic and puts question marks on the Holocaust has got to vanish. They shall gather, the disgraced loser of the June 12th election Mousavi, all the chic-high-society, all the dissidents for what ever cause, all the modernists and pseudo-liberals, all the jet-set of  Tehran, all the parrots and monkeys imitating the West, everyone who hates theocracy, all the supporters of Westerners, all the Nike and Gucci fashion-fans of  Tehran, all those who love the culture of nakedness or half nakedness, promise them Heaven on Earth and 25 Starbucks within the first year  and 145 Mac Donald’s as well, and start a fancy uprising from within, there after the son of the Shah shall return to his throne and Oprah Winfrey shall direct the new Iran TV stations owned by Fox and Judd Bush, all this is held-up as western democracy as opposed to Islamic theocratic democracy.

The Western powers will not succeed because the Islamic Republic of Iran is altogether a different kettle of fish! It’s foundation and functioning is different from all other states. It is a democratic theocracy which is sustained by spiritual values. The mind set of those ruling in the Islamic Republic of Iran are totally different to those ruling in states where spiritual values are not considered or are secondary. Since the regime in Tehran passionately adheres to spiritual values and moral codes it is incumbent on Providence to protect, support and strengthen the regime. That is why that for the last 30years all conspiracies and plots to topple the clerical regime have failed miserably. On the other hand the Islamic Republic of Iran has become an influential regional power and occupies centre stage in international affairs.

A wise move by the Western powers would be to come to terms with the values of the Islamic Republic of Iran and for Obama to open dialogue. However Obama’s remarks on the June 12th elections only demonstrates that the US and its allies are more likely to continue on a confrontation course with the Islamic Republic of Iran, endangering world-peace.
