Sri Lanka & Thailand sign MoU related to Halal assessment

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Halal Assessment Council of Sri Lanka and the Halal Science Center at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. 

According to the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Bangkok, the MoU was signed in the presence of the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand Wijayanthi Edirisinghe recently (Aug 28).

The MoU marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration between the two institutions, aiming to elevate halal standards and practices in both countries. The partnership will focus on advancing scientific research, improving halal assessment methods, and promoting innovation within the halal industry.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ambassador Edirisinghe stated that the MoU would strengthen bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and Thailand, adding that it reflects the shared commitment and the strong relationship between the two countries in advancing the halal industry.
