Muslim Organizations Slam Israel on Al-Aqsa By :- Shari`ah Staff

In view of the repeated violations and hostile measures taken by the Israeli authorities against Al-Aqsa Mosque, including blocking
Muslim worshipers from accessing it, overlooking Jew extremists threats and showing disrespect towards its sanctity, Muslim scholars and organizations condemn such irresponsible practices, calls Arab and Muslim to support the just Palestinian cause and urges concerned parties to take all the measure necessary to stop the Israeli practices. Below, we quote statements relased by The International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS) and The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe (FIOE).

IUMS: Islamic Countries to Rise up to Their Responsibilities

All praises are due to Almighty Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, his family, Companions and those who are loyal to him.

The International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS) observes with deep concern the escalating criminal acts perpetrated by the Zionists occupying the land of Palestine against Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, including extremely dangerous incursions and the firing of stun grenades inside it that led to the burning of some of its carpets.

Added to this are the constant calls for breaking into the Masjid by some Zionist groups that have gone as far as to demand opening a door in it for the Jews. Unfortunately, all this and more happens amidst international, and especially Arab and Muslim, silence, except – perhaps – for a few voices.

In light of such criminal Zionist acts against the Palestinian people, especially the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and against Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, the IUMS has the following to say:

The IUMS denounces the breaking into Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa by the Zionist occupiers and by the transgressing Israeli security forces that fired (stun) grenades, burning some carpets of the blessed Masjid. It also denounces the assault on Arab inhabitants of Jerusalem by these forces, which in the meantime protect the Zionists attempting to break into the Masjid.

The IUMS warns against the persistence of such criminal acts against Palestine and its just cause. It confirms that, according to international laws, canons and conventions, Zionists are the transgressing party; they occupied the holy land and subjugated its inhabitants.

The IUMS call on all world countries and international organizations to work towards putting an end to such unjustified silence. While the world is establishing alliances against organizations viewed as extremist, it keeps silent in face of a colonizer that, undeterred, violates all laws and canons.

The IUMS urges Arab and Islamic world as well as the free world to organize international events in support of the just Palestinian cause and to arrange worldwide mobilization of the free people in rejection of violations against Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and the Arab residents of Jer*usalem, and also in rejection of the Judaization of the noble Jerusalem and of Palestine, on Friday, October 17th, 2014. Besides, it calls on Friday orators to focus on the issue of Palestine and Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa in Friday Sermons.

The IUMS calls on the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries to rise up to their responsibilities towards the primary and pivotal issue of the nation, that is the Palestinian issue, to pursue the transgressing colonizers on legal and international levels, and to work towards ceasing such frequent assaults and incursions against Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, as well as the attempts to destroy or burn it, and the attacks against the Arab dwellers of Jerusalem.

The IUMS wonders: Does not Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa deserve the formation of a humanitarian Arab/Islamic alliance to encounter Zionist transgressions, recover the just rights of the Palestinian people and terminate occupation!

Allah, Almighty, is the Greatest; may victory be the lot of Palestine and all the believers, and defeat and disgrace be the lot of the transgressors.

FIOE: Israel Falsifies Historical Identity of Jerusalem

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe strongly condemns the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Israeli provocations in Jerusalem (Alquds)

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe condemns in the strongest terms the closure of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli occupation authorities, stopping Islamic religious worship in a place sacred to Muslims worldwide, in a dangerous precedent that cannot be ignored.

Why Is Palestine So Special to Muslims?
The Federation deplores these recent Israeli acts and measures directed against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, including the provocative entry to the Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli mayor of Jerusalem, as well as enabling extremist Israeli groups to break into the mosque on a recurrent basis.

The Federation notes with great concern the continuing escalation by the Israeli authorities against the city of Jerusalem (Alquds), and the increasingly serious violations perpetrated against the Palestinian inhabitants. It is quite clear that the Israeli government is systematically applying an extremist policy aimed at establishing a de facto reality of occupation on Jerusalem, falsifying its historical identity, and entrenching the favoured status of Israeli settlers while repressing and discriminating against the Palestinians.

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe draws attention to the dangerous consequences of these grave Israeli violations of Jerusalem (Alquds), which include threatening religious sites and intimidating worshippers, falsifying the holy city’s identity, and changing its features. The Federation emphasises that the Israeli occupation authorities must assure religious freedom in Jerusalem (Alquds), uphold respect for the sanctity of holy places and religious features, halt the restrictions on access to these sites, and cease intimidating those wishing to worship through restrictions and physical violence.

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe calls on the European Union, the Council of Europe, the European states and the parties of the international community, to take serious steps to discourage this dangerous escalation by the Israeli government, its authorities, and extremist
