Back to School : YWMA distributes stationery and school books to deserving students from all faiths

COLOMBO : The Young Woman’s Muslim Association kicked off the year with the Back to School Programme 2024, distributing stationery, books, and bags to students from grade 1 to A/levels.

 The event’s distinguished guests included chief guest Mrs. Zeeniya Thasim, guest speaker Viharadhipathi Dammaloka Na Himi, and guests of honor Mr. Thaslim Thasim and Mr. Khalid Farook.

In his address, the  Thero emphasized the importance of education and the crucial role women play in supporting educational initiatives. This inspiring start to the YWMA’s 2024 calendar highlighted their commitment to empowering young minds and fostering a brighter future, he added.
