MEI Foundation distributes school shoes for deserving students through the YWMA

COLOMBO — The MEI foundation in collaboration with YWMA coordinated by the Colombo Times CSR project distributed school shoes for deserving students at the All Ceylon YMMA Conference Auditorium, Colombo on Friday August 2 ILma International School Student Arafa Rushdie welcomed  the chief guest with a  bouquet. 

YMMA Conference  Media Unit Chairman and Colombo Times Chief Editor Mohammed Rasooldeen delivered the welcome address.

The chief guest of the ceremony, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Dewi Gustina Tobing, MEI Foundation Secretary Dr. Kifaya Ifthikar and YWMA President Fawaza Thaha addressed the gathering.

Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Dewi Gustina Tobing distributed the shoes to the students at this ceremony.

YMMA National President Amhar Shareef, Patron Khalid M. Farook, Secretary Ashif Shukry, former Malaysian Ambassador Ansar Ibrahim and Fathima Muslim Ladies College former Principal Shihana Abdul Salam were also present. The MEI Foundation Secretary Dr. Kifaya Ifthikar presented a memento to the Ambassador of Indonesia Dewi Gustina Tobing.

During the event, YWMA president Fawaza Thaha announced a donation of Rs 35,000 for a sel-help project and the cheque was presented to the beneficiary by the Ambassador Tobing.
