Zahira College Colombo Karate Committee honours Haazem Hisham

COLOMBO — Zahira College Colombo Karate Committee presented a laptop to student Haazem Hisham at College premises on Wednesday July 2.

Haazem Hisham stands out as a remarkable student who exemplifies dedication, discipline, and leadership. He successfully secured university eligibility by achieving commendable results in the 2024 GCE A/L Examination with an A in ICT, C in Combined Mathematics, and S in Physics. Beyond academics, Haazem made significant contributions to Zahira College by voluntarily serving as a GIT lecturer and a karate academic coach, generously sharing his knowledge and skills with fellow students.

Demonstrating exceptional leadership, he was appointed Vice Captain of the Karate Team in 2023 and elevated to Captain in 2024, earning the respect of his peers and coaches alike. In recognition of his outstanding commitment and achievements, the Karate Committee of Zahira College presented him a laptop, symbolizing their appreciation of his excellence both on and off the mat.

Haazem’s journey is a shining example for aspiring karatekas, proving that with perseverance, passion, and a sense of responsibility, one can achieve greatness while inspiring others to follow.

Principal of the College Trizviiy Marikar handed over the laptop to Haazem Hisham. M Fayaz – Chairman Zahira Karate Committee, S M Fawzan – Deputy Chairman,Sensei Nazar – Head Coach,  Mrs. Shamila FIrjun – Teacher in Charge Karate and other Assistance Coaches and Academic Coaches were also present.
