New Leadership Takes Helm at All Ceylon Hajj Tour Operators Association

 The All Ceylon Hajj Tour Operators Association (ACHTOA), the national body representing 28 licensed Hajj tour operators, elected its new Executive Committee for 2025/2026 at the Annual General Meeting held on Monday , October 20 at the Mandarina Hotel, Colombo 03.

Authorized on 24 February 1997 by the Minister of Trade under Section 3(b) of the Societies Ordinance (Chapter 123), ACHTOA is empowered to serve as the legally recognized representative body of Sri Lanka’s Hajj and Umrah operators.

New Office Bearers:

President: MSH. Mohamed (Deshamanya) – NM Travels & Tours

General Secretary: Subail M. Noordeen (LL.B, Naleemi) – Haadhee Travels (Pvt) Ltd

Vice President: Moulavi UL. Ubaithu (Falahi) – Kanzullah Hajj Travels

Treasurer: M M M. HAREES – EIGEN WEG TRAVELS & TOURS (Pvt) Ltd

Executive Members:

1. F. Omar Nishatha from AL SAFAA TRAVELS & TOURS (PVT) LTD Nishath,
2. SMA.Zaanas, from YARA TRAVELS (PVT) LTD
3. MSM. Shafaath from ROYAL FATHIMA TRAVELS

5. M. Rizmi Riyal of The Traveller Global was automatically appointed Honorary post of Immediate Past President, recognizing his leadership from 2019 to 2025.

“Our priority is to strengthen unity and ensure transparent, ethical Hajj operations,” said President MSH. Mohamed.

General Secretary Subail M. Noordeen added, “With 28 members nationwide, ACHTOA is committed to protecting the interests of both operators and pilgrims. It is vital that all stakeholders work together to shape fair and practical regulations under the upcoming Hajj Act before Parliament. I sincerely hope that our Association (ACHTOA) and our brother association (HTOASL) will speak with one unified voice, as both groups possess the experience and expertise essential to this trade
