Applications open for 11th intake of interest-free student loan scheme

Applications are now being accepted for the 11th intake under the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education’s interest-free student loan scheme, with eligible students able to apply until Sept. 27, 2026.

Students who sat the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in 2023, 2024 or 2025 and obtained at least three S passes, an S pass in English at either the Advanced Level or Ordinary Level, and a minimum of 30 marks for the Common General Test are eligible to apply.

Applicants must also be aged 25 or below as of Sept. 27, 2026.

The 2026/2027 intake will provide opportunities to pursue more than 129 degree programmes through 16 degree-awarding institutions, covering fields including engineering technology, information technology, science, commerce, humanities and related disciplines.

Applications will be accepted online from Aug. 17 to Sept. 27 through the student loan scheme’s application system.
