Iftar At Sunset: Insights into Ramadan- SLBC programme
For the first time in the channels of Sri Lanka, an Iftar programme is to be relayed in English language over Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation daily at 6.15 to 6.30 pm throughout Ramadan starting from Thursday March 21.
The programme aims at non-Tamil speaking English educated Muslim youth who do not have access to quality Iftar and Islamic insights in a language known to them.
The program is coordinated by Hilmy Ahamed on behalf of the Sri Lanka chapter of the World Forum for Sri Lankan Muslims and funded by its family members.. It is hoped that the English programme will continue to be broadcast in the coming years too for the benefit of the English speaking Muslims
